Francisco Cobo Medina

Founding partner - General Manager

 Francisco Cobo holds a Law degree from the University of Granada. Until 1989 he was a lawyer for the General Administration of the Local Council of Granada (number one of his class) and the court clerk of the Granada Court of Minors until 1989.

He is the founding partner and general manager of Cobo Abogados with almost 40 years of practice and specialisation in Administrative Law, Administrative Litigation and Town Planning. Throughout his long and fruitful career, he has defended official bodies, developers and construction companies, as well as individual clients with important interests at play and in publicly important matters.

The legal counselling he provided to the Marbella Town Hall in the Administrative Litigation jurisdiction (from 1991 to 2007) with more than 1,500 cases and the external legal counselling provided to other town halls and agencies on the Costa del Sol and to development and construction companies stand out.

He has been a teacher at the Centre for Municipal and Inter-Provincial Co-operation Studies and is currently a professor of Administrative Law at the Marbella School of Legal Practice of the Malaga Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados de Málaga). He has formed part of public examination boards for civil servants entering the local administration.

He has done numerous specialisation courses on Town Planning given by the Institute for Local Government Studies, both in Madrid and in Granada, along with others in the areas of Administrative Law and Administrative Litigation.
